InterFormat is a medical image format conversion program for industry standard UNIX™ workstations. Using a Motif™ interface, you can specify lists of input files, directories, and tape devices, specify an output directory and an output format, specify parameters to be displayed on the image list (patient name, study ID, etc.) and their order of placement, specify the output file naming convention, and save or recall these settings as configurations. You can then scan the list of inputs for medical image files, which are automatically identified and parsed into 3D image sets, and select the desired 3D images for conversion. A character mode is available for use at a terminal or shell, with list-only and convert-all modes for use in scripts and database or spreadsheet input preparation.
InterFormat can automatically identify and convert most popular medical image formats. InterFormat can write output files in many standard medical image formats, or images suitable for input to leading scientific visualization packages. Input Formats include: AAPM formats (QSH, InterFormat, Micas, Mirage); ACR-NEMA 1.0, ACR-NEMA 2.0, and DICOM 3.0; ADAC SPECT; GE 8800 CT; GE 9800 CT; GE Advantage MR and CT (Image Extract or DAT formats); GE Signa MR; Philips 300 Series CT; Picker Q800 MR and CT; Positron Corporation PET; Siemens CTI PET; Siemens Magnetom MR and Somatom CT; Technicare 2000 CT; Toshiba SPECT, Trionix Triad SPECT; and Varian Ximatron CT Simulator. Output formats include: AAPM, Interfile (including ADAC), DICOM 3.0, Vital Images VoxelView, IBM Visualization Data Explorer (DX), Mayo ANALYZE and SPM. All output formats are included with the basic module.
Hardware and Operating Systems supported include: Hewlett-Packard PA-RISC, HP-UX; IBM RS6000, AIX; Silicon Graphics R4000 Series, IRIX; SUN SPARC, SUNOS 4.1.3; SUN SPARC, Solaris 2.0. Media will be DAT tape or special order.
